  1. About Sort

  3. Sort is a shareware program supplied both in application and desk accessory form.
  4.  
  5. Sort is used to arrange the lines of a text file into alphabetic or numeric order.  The criteria for the sort may start in any column of the file.
  6.  
  7. There is one known problem.  If the desk accessory is activated within the Apple application ResEdit (ResEdit  Versions earlier than 1.1 - Apple seems to have fixed the problem in ResEdit 1.1) and ResEdit is Quit without previously quiting the desk accessory, a system error occurs.
